Basketball Tournaments

Here are the upcoming basketball tournaments. Please update your calendar availability if your interested in working this these events.

2025

January 31st,February 1st & 2nd:Banks Youth Boys & Girls Basketball Tournament - $38.00 per game, running clock, great hospitality room. Game times Sat. 8/9/10/11/12/1/2/3/4/5/6/7 - Sun. 8/9/10/11/12/1/2/3/4/5/6.
February, 1st & 2nd:Forest Grove Girls Youth Basketball Tournament - $40.00 per game, 16 minutes stop clock halves.
February, 8th One day only:Forest Grove Boys Youth Basketball Tournament - $40.00 per game,16 minutes stop clock halves.
SUMMER Forest Grove Women's Basketball tournament June 14/15 : 40.00 per game.

Important Items for Officials

To be scheduled to umpire NW Nations baseball games, the following items MUST be taken care of: Umpire registration, insurance paperwork, concussion certificate and background check.

The NFHS concussion-training link is on this home page. Complete your concussion training and email the certificate to John at: tteuscher6@hotmail.com. If you already have a concussion certificate from the OSAA 2024-2025 sports season, you can e-mail a copy to John.

If you are not currently working for an athletic organization that requires a background check then you must complete a background check before working games for NW Nations Baseball. (see link on this page). The cost is $10.

The link for the NW Nations tournament schedule is on this page. Our goal is to schedule umpires two to four weeks in advance whenever possible.

Please make sure to keep your information on RefTown current, including contact info, schedule availability and banking information for direct deposits.

Please take some time to go over the NW Nations Baseball rules before working any assignments.

If you know of any good umpires, please let them know to contact John.

If you do not have a current concussion certificate please click on this NFHS Concussion Link, select Oregon for the state and then click on "Start Learning" to begin the concussion training.

You might be required to login to the NFHS, will need to create a free NFHS account should you not already have one. Concussion certification is required for every sports season.

Check with John on whether you need to complete a Background Check

Be Prompt, Be prepared, have fun and manage the game.

MUST Read Umpire Guidelines (click here)
Be at the complex 15 minutes prior to game time.
Review the tournament rules. Call John Teuscher if you have any questions.
Bring a water bottle.
No seeds on the turf fields.
Don't leave until your replacements arrive.
Check-in & out at the tournament tent but please do not hang out there.
